Lecture Demonstration by Smt.Shylaja Ramji M.A.M.Phil(French)
Srimathi. SHYLAJA RAMJI’S Lec Dem titled ’Kannan En Kadalan’ at Indian Fine Arts Society, Venue Bala Mandir German Hall, on 2 January 2011 was a highly scholarly and effective presentation. The love of the Alwars, Meera, Andal, Radha, and Rukmini were separately explained first and the Bharata Natyam Demo performed. The different love themes and layams were brought out clearly in the dance and the audience felt one with the artiste. A lot of in-depth study has clearly gone into the preparation. Overall the program transmitted a lasting and positive impact on the people, leading them mentally towards God realisation

    “An Exemplary Performance”

Kalaimamani Srimathi. SHYLAJA RAMJI’s Lec Dem titled ’Kannan En Kadalan’ at Indian Fine Arts Society, Venue Bala Mandir German Hall, on 2 January 2011 was a highly scholarly and effective presentation. The love of the Azwars, Andal, Meera, Radha, and Rukmini were separately explained first and the Bharata Natyam Demo performed. A few of the items were

    Parangusa Nayaki Nammazwar

    Parakala Nayaki Thirmangai Azwar

    Karpooram Narumo Aandal

    Kaatrinile varum Geetham Meera

Yahi Madhava Jaya Devar Ashtapathi - Radha.

Sruthvaa Gunaan Baghavatham – Rukmini’s letter

The dancing for the above and the other pieces during the 90 minutes performance was uniformly exemplary. The different love themes were brought out clearly and the audience felt one with the artiste. A lot of in-depth study has clearly gone into the preparation. Overall the program transmitted a lasting and positive impact on the people, leading them mentally towards realisation of God
